How it works
The works of world-famous artists are scarce and proven valuable. Plus: The value of these works is very likely to increase further as more and more wealthy collectors enter this limited-supply market.
Up until today it was very inconvenient to collect and trade these artworks, though. You´d be facing complicated and costly logistics issues and many (greedy) middlemen along the way – just to start with.
Adding to this: If you´d wanted to buy it as an investment, your own house might not be the best place to safely store the piece until reselling it. Careless cleaning staff has destroyed many an artwork until today to name just one of the countless possible threads.
Enter NFTangibles
You guessed it by the name: NFTangibles is now here to combine the market of value-proven, tangible works of art with the convenience of trading NFTs.
To do so, we co-operate with renowned art galleries around the globe who support us to choose the best, underrated artworks and guarantee the authenticity of every single piece.
Initial auction
Each work of art that comes up for sale is assigned a unique token address. This token address acts as proof of ownership. Meaning: The (new) owner of the token address is proven to be the owner of the artwork.
Please note: The auctions are “invite only”. Got invited? Then…
If you believe you are eligible to join our whitelisted group of top-tier NFT collectors, please drop us a note and we will come back to you asap.
Storage
After the initial sale, the artwork is stored in an art vault within a freeport-zone in Switzerland and will not be moved from then on. NFTangibles bears the costs for the storage (for at least 10 years). The buyer of the artwork is now free to resell it at any time via NFT or to pick it up from the vault when ever he/she pleases. It´s also possible to visit the artwork on site.
Trading the artwork
Like the initial sale, the resale can be done via OpenSea. It works just like trading with any other NFT. Of course, the buyer can also transfer the NFT to another marketplace which is compatible. The acutal artwork remains in the art vault, it doesn´t have to be moved when ownership changes.

Of course: You can pick up your possession at any time. Please contact us at least 24 hrs beforehand, so we can arrange everything for you. But be aware: Once you took the artwork from the vault, it will not be tradable any more on OpenSea. In order to re-enter (any trading platform), it will have to go through a reviewing process by an art professional which will generate costs for you.
The artworks are stored in a top-of-the-range art storage facility within a freeport in Zurich, Switzerland.
Sure. After making an appointment (contact us before, please, so we can arrange everything) you can visit the art vault an have a look at your possession.
The artworks are stored at the vault for at least 10 years from the day of their respective initial sale on. After that, the then owner can prolong the storage on his own behalf. We hope that we will have our museum up and running by that time, though, so the owner might decide to display the artwork there. In that case, the artwork will stay there as long as the museum exists. Or until the owner picks it up, that is.
Currently, we use a smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain.
The seller fee is 7.5%. On top of that add the fees the platform is charging.
As an owner of an artwork, you´ll receive the contact data of the art vault. You can contact the vault directly. You could leave your artwork there on your own behalf or pick it up at any time.
